The Rapaport is a tool available exclusively to professionals. Every week the new "Rapaport table" that is published, is calculated basing on the average of the exchanges that take place in the markets around the world. The price of diamonds referred by Rapaport, doesn’t reflect the ones applied on the real market. Dealers and wholesalers may apply discounts based on a diamond's marketability and any flaws which may affect the price. Particularly rare diamonds are sold at a premium over the price list, even on the stock market.
